He most certainly did. 99% of wrestlers are going to want to make as much money as possible before they are forced to retire. Feds are going to exploit these situations if they think there is money to be made off of it. Why shouldn't the workers want a piece of the action as well?
It seems that the WWE is finally learning the booking lesson from ECW. Smart marks are the biggest marks of all. We're the easiest to fool. You just need to find a way to craft it. By having Matt sign to work with ROH before tonight it really gave a strong impression that his release was going to stick despite the two companies' working arrangement.
The question now is will TNA WANT Matt Hardy this Sunday. After seeing him on RAW, they've got to be thinking the same thing everyone else is... it's gotta be a work, right? So if he says he's available, do they use him and get 15 mins of fame while possibly helping build a WWE angle... or do they leave him at home?
The worst thing they've done so far is have Matt post that blog pretending it's all still a shoot. The fangirls who read his website might buy it but the rest of the internet smarts will just roll their eyes.
It certainly gave RAW that "Anything Can Happen" type feeling that's been non-existant for some time. I'm not a huge Hardy fan but if this angle works out for him more power to him for getting fans to talk about him more than ever before. There has been lots of "What Ifs?" for this work than anything WWE has done in some time. As usual time will tell how all this pans out.
TNA runs its PPV from Orlando on Sunday and we'll have a full rundown tomorrow. Raven vs. Abyss for the NWA title in a dog collar match is on top, plus Christopher Daniels vs. Petey Williams for the TNA X Division title. It is believed the decision will be made today regarding whether Matt Hardy appears on the show or not doing an unexplained run-in. WWE has okayed it to get over his angle. TNA had not okayed it as of yesterday.

Call me crazy, but I still think there's a good shot he shows up at TNA on Sunday.
Yep. I think they're totally going for the Pillman type of angle. I think the ppv this Sunday should be very interesting.

Good segment last night, but I still think that he'll be jobbing to Chris Masters and Rene Dupree by the start of the Fall.

I think this is the best angle to come along since the NWO. What Matt and Vince did was genious.
